So I'm trying to do this Wednesday Medley thingy with Terri from Your Friend From Florida. I hope I'm doing it right. We'll see. I've found a few of my blogging buddies that I lost, but not all of them. Debby from My Favorite Things suggested that I try a linky party.
1. It may be a little shocking, but National Static Electricity Day is January 9!! Do you often get shocked often when you touch metal? Yes! I've always had very fine hair. As a teenager, my long, straight hair would stand straight up. My mama used to say I looked like I had stuck my finger in an electrical socket.
2. There are actually two "National" days worthy of mention! It is also National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Our men and women working in many areas of law enforcement put their lives on the line for us daily. Do you know someone working in law enforcement who you can thank today? I had lots of friends at home who are in law enforcement, many who graduated with my children now. I'm proud of them. Now, I've had some not so sweet moments with the police and state patrol in my new town. Not so fond of them. HA! I'm doing better since I had to go before the judge for failing to "Move Over."
3. At our house right now it is all about football. Joe's Philadelphia Eagles barely won their game on Sunday to move forward in the playoffs and another chance to play in the Super Bowl this year. Do you have a favorite team in the playoffs or does football make you yawn? Is there a Super Bowl party in your future, no matter the teams playing? Years ago, I watched it with the guys and Dallas was my favorite team and we hated the Eagles. That was in the 70's. HA. Professional Football is not on my radar anymore. I still love college but not professional.
4. Speaking of parties, there is always lots of food at parties I attend. Tell us a weird food combination that you really enjoy (or have enjoyed). It doesn't have to be party food. Oh, I love meatballs, buffalo chicken dip and pigs in a blanket. I think we may have a party after all.
5. Since we are on games and parties, what game have you spent the most hours playing? Volleyball years ago! We are a baseball family:)
6. Tell us something random about your week so far. I'm junkin' again and loving it or pickin' or antiquing, whatever you like to call it, but mostly I just like the hunt.
Thanks, Debby and Terri for the invite.
